Ideye Joins Olympiacos From West Brom

Nigerian striker Brown Ideye has joined Greek champions Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee, West Bromwich Albion’s official website has reported.

The deal for the 26-year-old Nigeria international was finalised in time for ‘Bobby’ to be registered for the Athens-based club’s Champions League campaign.

Ideye who joined Albion last summer from Dynamo Kyiv for £10m dropped in the pecking order following the arrivals of Salomon Rondon from Zenit and Rickie Lambert from Liverpool.

Ideye is expected to feature for Olympiakos when the Greek side battle Arsenal in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

He made 31 appearances in all competitions for Albion, scoring seven times.

Ideye scored four goals in 24 Premier League matches.
