Brown Ideye grabbed a brace as Olympiakos thrashed Asteras Tripolis 5-0 in the first leg, quarter-final of the Greek Cup.
Ideye scored in the 13th and 41st minute, to give Olympiakos a 2-0 lead.
A brace also from Fortounis on 50 and 64 minutes, and a 79 minutes strike from Felipe Pardo, completed the rout for Olympiakos.
Asteras Tripolis will host the reverse fixture which is billed for Wednesday 2.
In the Israeli Cup, Anthony Nwakaeme was on target for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who defeated Maccabi Petah Tikva 2-1.
Nwakaeme opened the scoring in the 13th minute.
Omer Danino equalised for Maccabi Petah Tikva on 26 minutes but Ben Sahar restored Hapoel Be'er Sheva's lead two minutes later.
In England, youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho, was an unused substitute for Manchester City, as they beat Everton 3-1 in the return leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final.
City, who lost the first leg 2-1, won the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Vitesse and PEC Zwolle played out a 1-1 in the Dutch league.
In action for Vitesse was Abiola Dauda, who replace Dominic Solanke on 66 minutes.
And in a club friendly game played in La Manga, Spain, Super Eagles skipper, Ahmed Musa, was in action for CSKA, who lost 2-0 to norwegian side Odd.
Scorers for Odd were Olivier Occean and Rafik Zekhnini in the third and 40th minute respectively.
