Brown Ideye was on target for recently crowned Greek champions Olympiakos who beat Panathinaikos 3-1 on Sunday night.
Ideye, scored in the 89th minute to seal the win for Olympiakos.
He has now scored eight goals in 21 league appearances.
Other scorers for Olympiakos are Esteban Cambiasso and Manuel da Costa.
In another Greek game, former Flying Eagles player, Abduljeleel Ajagun was in action for Levadiakos who lost 3-0 at home to Platanias.mAjagun replaced Marius Topi in the 46th minute.
Former Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Emenike was in action for West Ham in their 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
Emenike later went off for Diafra Sakho in the 64th minute.
His Nigerian team-mate Victor Moses was an unused substitute in the game.
In another FA Cup clash, Odion Ighalo ended his goal drought as he scored in Watford's 2-1 away win against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Ighalo was to later make way for Nordin Amrabat with eight minutes remaining in the game.
Also, Alex Iwobi made an appearance for Arsenal after coming on for Mohamed Elneny in the 68th minute.
In the English Championship, Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme kept a clean sheet for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their goalless home draw against Birmingham City.
In Germany, Leon Balogun saw 90 minutes of action for Mainz but ended on the losing side as they fell 2-0 to Dortmund.
Goals from Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa, secured the win for title-chasing Dortmund.
Ogenyi Onazi had a rare start for Lazio who beat Atalanta 2-0 in a Serie A encounter. Onazi later came out for Marco Parolo in the 81st minute.
Also in the Serie A, Joel Obi was an unused substitute for Torino, who lost 3-2 at Genoa.
In Belgium, Winger Moses Simon made an appearance for Gent in their 1-1 away draw against Sporting Charleroi. And with five minutes left, Simon was substituted for Kenneth Saief.
