Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has been named in the Barclays Premier League team of the week for week six following his man-of-the-match performance for Watford in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Newcastle at St James’ Park.
A first half brace from the Nigerian international secured the Hornets a second Premier League win this season and also made him the highest goals scorer in English football in the calendar year having scored 20 times in 2015.
Manchester United had two slots in the line-up, David de Gea taking his place between the sticks while match winner at St Mary’s Anthony Martial partners Ighalo in the attack.
The defence line has Newcastle United’s Daryl Janmaat who scored the Magpies’ consolatory goal against Watford in the right-back position, Norwich and Chelsea goal scorers Martin Rusell and Kurt Zouma partner each other in the central defensive role while Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno comes in at left-back.

The quartet who were all on the score sheet for their respective sides over the weekend play behind Ighalo and Martial in a 4-4-2 formation.
