Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo continued his goal-scoring form as he grabbed two goals in Watford’s 3-0 home win against Liverpool on Saturday.
Ighalo has now scored in four successive Premier League games, equalling Troy Deeney’s record for Watford earlier in the season.
The Nigeria striker has also scored five goals in his last four games at Watford’s Vicarage Road.
Nathan Ake, on loan from Chelsea, shot Watford into the lead as early as the third minute.
In the 15th minute, Ighalo got on the score sheet off a Troy Deeney assist to make it 2-0 for Watford.
On 41 minutes, Liverpool lost Martin Skrtel to injury, and he was replaced by Divock Origi.
And with two minutes left, Ighalo put the game beyond doubt by heading in Watford’s third.
The former Granada forward has now scored 12 Premier League goals this season.
The win now sees Watford move up to seventh place in the league table.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
