By James Agberebi:

Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo has described Watford's season as a successful one after the curtains were drawn on the English Premier League on Sunday.

Watford, who gained promotion to the EPL last season, finished 13th in the final league table.

The Hornets also made it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace.

In their last game of the season, they drew 2-2 against Sunderland at Vicarage Road.

Ighalo was Watford's top scorer in the league with 15 goals from 37 games.

Reflecting on the just concluded league season, Ighalo praised the Watford fans for their support in the course of the season.

"Thank God for a successful season, no injuries and we got the job done. Thanks to Watford FC fans for the support," Ighalo wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday.
