Igiebor Leads Maccabi Tel-Aviv’s assault In UCL

Super Eagles midfielder Nosa Igiebor will lead the Maccabi Tel-Aviv charges as they hope to overturn a 2-1 deficit suffered against Maltese side Hibernian last week.

Igiebor gave his side the lead in the 22nd minute, but his strike was cancelled out with goals from Jorge Pereira and Jackson Lima in the 74th and 85th minutes respectively, giving Hibernians a slim advantage.

The winner of this tie will face Viktoria Plzen in the third qualifying round.

In Bulgaria, Moldovan side, Milsami Orehi will be banking on the defensive prowess of Nigerian defender Ovey Monday to secure a place in the next round of the competition at the expense of Ludogorets.

Milsami hold a 1-0 lead from the first leg in Moldova into Tuesday’s fixture.

The winner will play either Skenderbeu or Crusaders in the next round.
