By James Agberebi:
Kelechi Iheanacho was on in the final six minutes in the place of Raheem Sterling as Manchester City were forced to a 0-0 draw by struggling Aston Villa at Villa Park in Sunday’s English Premier League clash.
The young Nigerian almost bagged an assist in added time when his superb cross off a short corner was headed against the crossbar by Fernando.
City, who were hoping to compound the woes of Villa following a poor run of results, could not break down a resolute Villa side who only recently appointed former Arsenal midfielder Remi Garde as their new manager.
And despite the introduction of Iheanacho, Jesus, Navas and Fabian Delph, City still could not find a break through hence had to settle for the draw.
City now have 26 points, and could go second in the league table if Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
Meanwhile, Villa remain bottom with just five points from 12 games.
