Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is confident the team will make a positive impact in their upcoming friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg, reports Completesportsnigeria.com
The former African champions have no hope of qualifying for the 2017 African Cup of Nations following a 1-0 defeat against Egypt in Cairo in March
They have however shifted attention to the qualifying race for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and are using the games against Mali in Rouen, France this Friday and against Luxembourg on May 31 as preparations for the qualifiers
The Wolverhampton Wanderers goalie insisted Nigeria are good enough to win both games
"We have two games in France against Mali and in Luxembourg over the next week and I'm looking forward to joining up with the team and hopefully getting two good results," Ikeme told his club's official website.
