Ikorodu United have warned Enugu Rangers they should expect a difficult battle when both sides clash in their Nigeria Professional Football League match-day 37 fixture at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Lagos- based side were relegated to the National League following a 1-0 defeat to Plateau United last weekend and have nothing but pride to play for in the encounter.
League leaders, Rangers however need to win the tie to maintain the leadership position in the table and keep their hopes of breaking their 32 years title drought alive.
Media Officer of the Oga Boys, Babatunde Ayoola told Completesportsnigeria.com that they will go for maximum points in the game despite their current status in the table.
"I have heard a lot of comments from people that Rangers will have an easy ride against us (Ikorodu United), but they should go and ask teams like Heartland, Kano Pillars and Enyimba what we did to them,"Ayoola explained to Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We don't care who Rangers are, their status or position in the table, we just want to prove to people out there that we are a credible club.
"They should be prepared for a tough game as our boys will go all out for maximum points."
Ikorodu United coached by Theo de Jong, have lost only one match in their last six games.
