Ezekiel Rejoins Qatar’s Al Arabi, Confident Of Eagles Success

By Johnny Edward:

Nigerian forward Imoh Ezekiel has rejoined his parent club Al Arabi for the forthcoming season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ezekiel who spent last season on loan at Belgian side Anderletch was linked with several teams in Europe but his participation at the 2016 Rio Olympics with Nigeria’s men’s football team saw those offers fall through.

“Hopefully if some other offers come in January I can consider them but I’m in Qatar with my team for the new season,” Ezekiel began in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ezekiel who featured in all six matches at the Olympics as Nigeria won bronze was an unused substitute in the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win over Tanzania in Uyo last week.

He is confident the Super Eagles can soar again under new coach Gernot Rohr.

“We all are hopeful things will turn around for good with the new coach in charge,” Ezekiel added.

Nigeria face Zambia in their first Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying game in Ndola next month before hosting Algeria and Cameroun in subsequent games.
