Former Nigeria defender, Ben Iroha, has hit out at South American country, Bolivia for calling off the proposed international friendly against Super Eagles on March 26 at the Nest of Champions stadium, Uyo.
The 1994 Super Eagles world Cup star was pissed off that Bolivia could back out of the match at the 11th hour, citing security reasons.
“Its sad that Bolivia could toe this line of action at this point in time.
“This game, I presume was not arranged just yesterday, it must have been contracted several weeks or even months ago so wait until this time before opting out?”, Iroha querried.
A former Golden Eaglets World Cup winning assistant coach in Dubai 2007, Iroha wondered why Bolivia could deny Super Eagles opportunity to test their strength in their rebuilding process.
“I’m sure at the time the match was arranged, security situation in the country may have been a bit high but right now everything is relatively okay.
“Several other countries have been coming to play here and leave without any complaint so I wonder why Bolivia should hinge their action on security-related reasons.
The former Flying Eagles and U-23 Dream Team assistant coach who assisted Augustine Eguavoen during his transit reign as Super Eagles head coach commended NFF for taking the honorable decision to drag Bolivia FA to FIFA for breach of contract.
“Of course, that’s a wise thing to do and I hope FIFA will sanction them accordingly”, Iroha demanded.PROFITABLE FOREX TRADING; We GUARANTEE 37% weekly profit trading your forex account for you!
