Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi provided an assist before going off injured as Arsenal kicked off the new English Premier League campaign on a losing note after going down 4-3 at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
A brace from Philippe Coutinho and goals from Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the win.
Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Callum Chambers scored for Arsenal.
Clyne had Liverpool’s first shot on target on 13 minutes but Cech held firmly.
Two minutes later, Ramsey was clear on goal but his first touch let him down allowing Moreno to clear away for a corner.
Arsenal had a penalty on 30 minutes after Moreno fouled Walcott but Mignolet stopped the spot kick from Walcott.
Walcott made amends a minutes later, hitting a low shot to the bottom right hand corner following an assist from Iwobi, to give Arsenal 1-0 lead.
Liverpool came close to equalising on 35 minutes but Firmino’s shot flashed across goal.
Wijnaldum had a chance on 40 minutes following Callum Chambers poor pass but he couldn’t finish off Coutinho’s cut back as Cech got down well to save the goal-bound strike.
In one minute into added time, Coutinho made it 1-1 with a well taken free-kick which went over the Arsenal wall and into the top right-hand corner.
Lallana put Liverpool 2-1 ahead in the 49th minute, finishing off a brilliant Liverpool goal that involved Coutinho and Wijnaldum.
Coutinho made it 3-1 in the 56th minute, off Clyne’s low cross.
Arsenal made a double change on 59 minutes, with Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla replacing Iwobi and Ramsey who got off injured.
Liverpool went 4-1 up through Mane in the 63rd minute, beating two markers and planting the ball into the top right hand corner.
Chamberlain responded for Arsenal on 64 minutes, wriggling past three defenders and shooting past Mignolet.
Arsenal made their final change on 67 minutes with Granit Xhaka on for Mohammed Elneny.
In the 69th minute, Coutinho went off injured and was replaced by Emre Can.
Chambers scored from Cazorla’s free-kick on 75 minutes to make it 4-3.
In the 85th minute Firmino hit an outside shot which took a slight deflection and went off for a corner.
