Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has admitted his side faced a tough battle against Hull City who forced the Gunners to a replay after they played out a goalless draw in the FA Cup fifth round tie at the Emirates on Saturday.
The young Nigerian international played for 73 minutes before being taken off for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in his ninth appearance for the Gunners this season.
Iwobi who was impressive as he made his third Emirates FA Cup start for Arsenal this season tweeted after the game.
“Tough Battle,” he wrote via his handle @alexiwobi.
The draw means the 2014 and 2015 winners Arsenal are now unbeaten in the competition for three years, but their chances of becoming the first club since Blackburn Rovers between 1884 and 1886 to win the cup three times in a row have taken a real blow.
Arsene Wenger’s side will need to fit in a replay into a full schedule which includes a home round of 16 Champions League tie against Barcelona on Tuesday, a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday 28 February, a home match against Swansea on Wednesday 2 March and a North London derby against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday 5 March.4years ago My wife left me,because i was too WEAK in bed,but today she calls me Bed Champion. Now i finally discovered a Natural Solution that forces women to ask for more.
