By James Agberebi:

Alex Iwobi has allayed fears over his availability for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt after suffering from food poisoning.

Iwobi missed the Super Eagles first and last training sessions in Abuja as a result of food poisoning he suffered on Monday.

But the 19-year-old Arsenal product has come out to state that he is okay and ready to feature in the game against Egypt.

He wrote on his Twitter handle: “Had the maddest food poisoning but I am good now and feeling ready for the Egyptian match.”

  1. All the rumour about the England people to stop Alex Iwobi from committing to Nigeria is gone and passd. If it is only 2 mines he plays, commit him. I am just joking. How on earth will he refuse to play for Nigeria when his uncle is the original Jay Jay Austine Okocha. Get well, well well before Friday. Iwobi/Ighalo combination will be hot with Mikel and Onazi supplying the killer passes. Come to think of it, it was Siasia that brought Mikel to limelight and so he still knows how to use him to give all those penetrating passes. It will work. I wish all of them well.
