Iwobi Scores Twice As Super Eagles Thrash Plateau United

Super Eagles have declared their readiness for Sunday's FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia following their 3-0 win over Nigeria Professional Football League side, Plateau United, in a friendly match played today in Abuja.

Anderson Esiti scored Super Eagles first goal in the match that saw coach Gernot Rohr fielding team B of the senior national team in the first half.

The second half produced two goals through Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi to make it 3-0 in favour of the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, Rohr who used the match to test the readiness of the players for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier introduced the Team A which comprised Mikel Obi, Carl Ikeme, Kenneth Omeruo and other big boys in the second half and he was impressed with their performance.

Fans who watched the friendly match at the Abuja National Stadium were happy with the performance of the players as they were singing praises of the players ahead of the Sunday match in Ndola.
