Torino have won the race for Joel Obi, according to reports in Italy.
Obi was strongly linked with the Serie A club for several days and cuoretoro.it reported in the early hours of Wednesday that the Nigerian midfielder’s move had been sealed.
The Super Eagles star cost €2.4 million from Inter Milan, where he spent 10 years.
He signed a four-year deal with the Turin club, after Inter gave their nod to the move.
Torino, who finished ninth in Serie A last season, beat off competition from Carpi and Genoa for Obi’s services.
Obi, 24, joined the Inter youth team in 2005 and got promoted to the first team in 2010, during Jose Mourinho’s reign as manager.
He was loaned out to Parma in the 2013/2014 season but returned last season. He, however, found a regular spot in Roberto Mancini’s squad difficult to come and was expected to leave San Siro at the end of the season.
