By Johnny Edward:
Torino midfielder Joel Obi has returned to training at his club two months after damaging his rectus femoris muscle, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The 24-year-old according to the club’s official website had his personalised schedule as his teammates were taken through a tactical session under the guidance of coach Giampaolo Ventura ahead of Saturday's Serie A match against Frosinone.
“Joel Obi trained alone at the Sisport training ground today but his date of return is not certain yet,” a close source told Completesportsnigeria.com.
The muscle injury ruled him out of a return to the Super Eagles last year when he was called up by coach SundayOliseh.
Obi has played two Serie A games since joining Torino from Inter Milan last summer.
