President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Isha Johansen believes Africa has great potential to produce the next FIFA President.
Reacting to Completesportsnigeria.com's question on the chances of either Segun Odegbami or Orji Uzor Kalu – both from Nigeria, to unseat an incumbent Josep Sepp Blatter in next year's FIFA Presidential election, Johansen said the continent can produce worthy candidates for the position.
"I have met some very strong African personalities in CAF," Johansen told Completesportsnigeria.com, tacitly dodging allegiance to either of the two eminent Nigerians.
"I do believe that in the very near future we will see an African at the helm of FIFA," Johansen added.
Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, a former Abia State governor between May 29, 1999, to May 29, 2007, was first Nigerian to confirm his willingness to run for the FIFA top job and has been joined by former Nigeria international Segun Odegbami who was part of the 1980 Green Eagles squad that won the African Cup of Nations which Nigeria hosted and won for the first time.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
