Nigerian U-23 international Junior Ajayi is is set to join Cairo giants Al Ahly from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The forward will sign a four-year contract with the former African champions and will replace Gabonese international striker Malick
Evouna who has dumped Ahly for a stint in China with Tiajin Teda.
"The deal is 100% done, Al Ahly and Sfaxien have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Ajayi to Ahly," his agent Mahmoud Ouaddeni told CBC channel.
"The announcement of the deal will take place in the coming hours.
"The player will sign the contract via e-mail due to his presence with the Nigeria U-23 team in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympics Games.
"Negotiations began to take serious shape after Al Ahly closed the Al Maaloul deal with the Tunisian club.
"Ajayi is a big threat as a centre forward but can also play on the wings."
