Kanu Hails Barca’s UCL Win

By James Agberebi:

Former Super Eagles skipper Nwankwo Kanu has hailed Barcelona for winning this year's UEFA Champions League after they defeated Juventus 3-1 in the final on Saturday.

Goals from Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Neymar secured Barcelona's fifth title, while Alvaro Morata grabbed Juve's only goal.

Reacting to the win, Kanu who won the Champions League with Ajax in 1995, praised Juventus for putting up a good display.

"Congratulations Barca and Barca fans all around the world. Not a bad game from Juve," he wrote on Twitter.

Barcelona first won the Champions League in 1992. They won their second title in 2006 before claiming the trophy in 2009 and 2011.
