Kanu Residential Soccer Camp For Canada

By SAB Osuji:

Former Nigeria captain, Nwankwo Kanu, will organize a Residential Soccer Camp in Canada next year, Completesportsnigeria.com has gathered.

The four week exercise will be broken in two segments of two weeks and will involve pupils between the ages 1-14 as well as U-11-U-18 for boys and girls.

It was also gathered that exercise will hold in Alliston, Canada with each participant expected to part with $6, 000 US dollars.

“The fee will take care of travel, accommodation and feeding expenses with pupils expected to be taken to places of interest while in Canada”, an official explained.

“There will also be soccer clinic with scouts from Europe coming around to select players. The exercise will be conducted under the aegis of Nwankwo Kanu Professional Soccer Clinic,” Completesportsnigeria.com was informed.

It was further learnt that proceeds from the exercise will be used to augment operations of the Nwankwo Kanu’s pet project, Kanu Heart Foundation, KHF.

“The economy is hard now and you are aware Kanu is now retired from active football,” states Pastor Onyebuchi Abia, Coordinator of Kanu Heart Foundation.

“So monies realized from such project will come handy in the operations of the KHF.

“Recently, Kanu signed endorsement with StarTimes and with such proceeds; the foundation was able to conduct open heart surgeries for three patients in Abuja.

“As I speak with you, some patients with heart related ailments will be flown to India next week. One even left on Wednesday”, Abia explained.

  1. That is a good initiative from kanu. Others successful footballers should learn from him and other wealthy nigerians should do so.
