By David Meshioye:
Super Eagles gaffer has refused to comment on skipper Vincent Enyeama’s absence in Tuesday’s questioning by Nigeria Football Federations (NFF) disciplinary committee at the Glass House in Abuja.
In exclusive chat with CS on Tuesday, the former Hawks of Togo manager insisted he will be keeping a sealed lip over Vincent Enyeama absence in Tuesday’s sitting, stressing that what is paramount before him now is how best to move the team forward .
“I am not going to comment on that for now, it is important we avoid this distraction and move on from here. Our opponents are preparing and here we are still experiencing series of distractions.
Nigeria is my country and I have always given her my best shot. I will continue to give my best as long as am here,” he said.
Commenting on the outcome of his close door meeting with NFF disciplinary committee on Tuesday, the big boss said: “I have started working on Tanzania team but I hope we can put the distraction behind us move on from here so that we can begin to shift our focus on how best to win that match,” he said.
Brimming with smiles and looking unperturbed, Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi had breezed into the NFF Secretariat at 11.50 am on Tuesday to answer a query over his application for Elephant of Cote D’Ivoire’s vacancy despite having an existing two-year contract with Nigeria.
The NFF executive board will have the final say on its outcome, on a date yet to be decided
