—Iwo Natives To Also Sponsor Broke Ex-Nigeria Star To NIS
By Sab Osuji:
The Iwoland Development Coalition (IDC) have taken it upon themselves to help former Nigeria international Femi Opabunmi back on his feet as they are set to settle his children’s school fees and sponsor him to a coaching course at the National Institute for Sports, completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Opabunmi, who hails from Oluponna in Iwoland, suffered eye problems in 2008 while playing for Niort in France, resulting in his inability to see with one of the eyes again.
Following a recent outcry by the former Golden Eaglets star, his kinsmen have decided to play the role of their brother’s keeper by coming to his rescue.
As a first step, completesportsnigericon gathered, an Iwoland Development Coalition nine-man delegation comprising Adisa Kabiru Adeniyi (Community Servant), Prince Ayo Oyedokun, Suaib Alabi, Akanmu Oluseye, Mutolib Yussuf Ola-Gold, Adeleye Yusuf, Ola Ariyo, Alabi Usman and Prince Musibau Semiu visited Opabunmi on Sunday at his Sanyo, Ibadan residence where they gave his family foodstuffs and promised to send him to NIS and as well pay his children’s school fees.
A visibly shocked and excited Opabunmi said he was overwhelmed by their gesture and prayed God to continue to be with them.
“I am happy with their gesture, they really surprised me and my family,” Opabunmi said.
“They have given us hope and I pray God will be with them. They promised to send me to NIS and pay my children’s school fees, it takes the grace of God to do all this, I thank them.”4years ago My wife left me,because i was too WEAK in bed,but today she calls me Bed Champion. Now i finally discovered a Natural Solution that forces women to ask for more.
