Klopp: Liverpool Not Good Enough Against Newcastle

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted his side were not good enough to avoid Premier League defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.
The Reds were expected to overrun a struggling Newcastle side,  especially after the 6-1 Capital One Cup demolition of Southampton in midweek.
But a resolute Newcastle side prevailed 2-0 through a Martin Skrtl own goal and a wonderful breakaway finish by Giorginio Wijnadlum in added time.
“We were not good today. I don’t know why. Better you lose a bad game than a good game,” Klopp said in his post-match interview.
“A few days ago we were brilliant, today we were not good. That’s how football is, that’s how life it. We have to find out why.”
The defeat leaves Liverpool 10 points off top spot,  while Newcastle move up one place to 18th in the table.
