Liverpool will be looking to end a four-year run with no trophy on Sunday at Wembley against Manchester City in the final of the Capital one Cup.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool are ready to claim the title. The German spoke of his team’s readiness for Sunday’s final at Wembley Stadium at his Friday’s press conference.
“We’re in this job to win things – titles, cups, whatever,” Klopp said.
“A lot of players or managers can work their whole life and not win anything. I’m sure you will see we really want to win this. That’s a pretty strong opponent, it feels like Liverpool v Manchester – like always.”
“Anything that you can imagine is possible, you can dream,” he said. “I have some nice pictures in my mind. We will get chances and to use them will be the key. I have to make sure there’s no misunderstanding between my mouth and the ears of the players.”
On the Europa League Round of 16 draw on Friday which pits his team against Manchester United, Klopp said:
“It’s great, we deserve these games. In this round, there’s no easy games.”
Liverpool are winners of the league C up eight times. They were winners in 1981-1984, then in 1995, 2001, 2003 and 2012 while City were winners in 1970, 1976 and 2014.
