Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge out of their Premier League clash against Norwich at Carrow Road.
Sturridge has missed most part of the season due to niggling injuries.
Speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference, Klopp revealed that while Lallana’s injury might not be that serious, they will have to wait 10 days before taking a decision on Sturridge.
“Adam Lallana is a doubt. He has a little issue. We will have to see,” Klopp said.
“I am happy about other things. I can’t rush the situation. Last four days were really good. Sturridge still needs time. Nothing new.
“After 10 days we will see how he is and decide.”
Ahead of the game against Norwich, Klopp lamented Norwich’s point haul, but hailed their overall performance.
“You look at the table and think 18 points, it’s not so good, but they are creative and quick.
“They had some problems in defence, less problems in offence, but they have changed this with Klose from Wolfsburg.”
He praised Christian Benteke for his contributions to the team despite not scoring a lot.
“Everyone could see against Exeter he was involved in two of the three goals.
“He’s working hard and his attitude was really good.
“Sometimes he tried too hard but he knows where goal is. It’s something we need to develop together. He knows what we want to do.”
And on Liverpool making any signing before the end of the January transfer window, Klopp said they will only make signings if the need arises.
“If you are under pressure people want prices which you think are crazy.
“It’s not perfect time to buy but we have to watch the market. If we find a solution and a player who can help us then we’ll try.
“I think I always said if our situation changed then we would have to change.
“If there’s a good player who can help us then we think about it.”Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
