Former Super Eagles midfielder, Moses Kpakor, as well as one-time Super Eagles forward Barnabas Imenger have emerged as frontline contenders for the Lobi Stars coaching job, Complete Sports can report.
Also in the race to replace incumbent and former Nigeria international, Dominic Iorfa, are former team manager of the club, Mike Idoko, Simon Ikya and Tersoo Luga.
Iorfa has confirmed he will stand down from his position at the end of this year, probably next week.
Iorfa is the vice-chairman of the club and also doubles as Technical Adviser of the Federation Cup losing finalists.
Complete Sports checks reveal that Okey Emordi is also being linked with club for the position of technical adviser, a position currently held by Justin Tenger.
“I’m aware that several people have indicated interest in replacing Dominic Iorfa who has said he will step down at the end of the year,” offers Tenger.
“But I’m not aware of any one wanting to become the next technical adviser of Lobi Stars.
“Of course, that will not be unexpected because this is the off-season when players and coaches move from one club to another.
“Any coach, like players, has the right to aspire to lead Lobi Stars.”
