–Eagles star anticipates tough resistance from Ifeanyiubah United
Solomon Kwambe says he’s looking forward to achieve great things with Warri Wolves even as the 2014/2015 Glo Premier League kicks off this weekend.
Kwambe has 10 caps for the senior national team, including a Nations Cup win in South Africa in 2013.
After a spell at Sunshine Stars, Kwambe switched to Warri Wolves at the conclusion of last season.
“We all aspire to make progress in life, so I believe my coming to Warri Wolves will be for good for me and the team”, starts Kwambe who made Stephen Keshi’s home based Super Eagles to last year’s CHAN in South Africa.
“In Sunshine, we reached the CAF Champions League group stage, played in the CAF Confederation Cup semi finals and I just believe that I can help Wolves get past that achievement this time around”.
Wolves will welcome newly promoted Gabros International, (now Ifeanyiubah United) in Sunday’s Match-Day one of the Glo Premier League.
The 21-year-old reckons that Wolves are in the right shape to confront the new comers.
“We know no team is cheap in football. They did well in the Super Four in Ilorin so that tells their quality and potential so we’ll take them serious.
“You don’t expect any team to stroll for you so we’re fully prepared and we’re ready to face the league.
“The CAF confederation Cup games we’ve played have both helped to toughen us but we expect a tough game on Sunday,” Kwambe stressed.Unblock the FIFA World Cup with ExpressVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
