Jamie Vardy was the star man for Leicester City as they defeated Liverpool 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Vardy latched onto a incisive pass from Riyad Mahrez in the 60th minute and unleashed a shot that beat Simon Mignolet to go ahead.
Leicester made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute. Jamie Vardy again, playing before England manager, Roy Hodgson, reacted well to convert from a deflection after Shinji Okazaki's shot was blocked.
Incidentally the first half ended goalless with both sides squandering some clear chances.
Rihad Mahrez fired Leicester's first shot on the night but missed target by whiskers.
Shinji Okazaki's header was also kept out by Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool's Emre Can also had a chance to score but his half volley was saved by the Foxes' keepe, Kasper Scheimichel.
Super Eagles forward Victor Moses came off the bench in the 86th minute to replace Enner Valencia in West Ham United's 2-0 home win against Aston Villa at Boleyn Ground.
Michail Antonio scored the Hammers' first goal in the 58th minute against Villa.
Cheick Kouyate made it 2-0 for the London side in the 85th minute when he finished off a counter attacking move.
