Liverpool Ladies have congratulated Asisat Oshoala for scoring on her debut for the Super Falcons at the FIFA Womens World Cup in Canada.
The Reds ladies’ forward Oshoala opened her account for this tournament with a fine individual effort after a well-played long ball from Onome Ebi, to restore parity three minutes after Ngozi Okobi’s strike handed the reigning African champions hope.
“Congratulations to Reds striker @asisato1 who tonight scored on her @FIFAWWC debut as @thenff drew 3-3 with Sweden,” the tweet via @LFCladies reads.
However, Ordega salvaged a point for the Super Falcons three minutes from time with a shot that managed to slip through the legs of Sweden goalkeeker Lindahl to earn her side a point from the six goal thriller.
The Super Falcons face Australia in the next game on Friday.
