Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Brazil forward Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim.
The Premier League club announced the signing via their official website on Wednesday. The deal is thought to be worth £22 million, rising to £29 million with add-ons.
Liverpool wrote on their website on Wednesday morning: “Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, subject to a medical which will take place immediately following the player’s participation in Copa America 2015 for Brazil.
“The 23-year-old has agreed a long-term contract with the club.
“Firmino will arrive at Anfield following four-and-a-half seasons in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.”
The Brazilian joins James Milner and Danny Ings as Liverpool’s high-profile summer signings.
