Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have booked their places into the fourth round of the FA Cup after victories over Exeter and Leicester on Wednesday night.
Tottenham beat Leicester City 2-0 in a replay at the King Power Stadium.
South Korea forward Heung-Min Son put Spurs in front in the 40th minute with a ferocious right-foot shot which flew past Kasper Schmeichel in goal for Leicester.
In the 66th minute, Son turned provider, as his pass found Nacer Chadli who slot the ball beneath an unrushing Schmeichel for Spurs’ second.
In their first meeting at White Hart Lane, a late Harry Kane penalty had ended the game 2-2.
Spurs will now take on lower league side Colchester in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
At Anfield, Liverpool also advanced into the fourth round after defeating Exeter City 3-0.
Goals from Joe Allen, Sheyi Ojo and Joao Teixera secured the comfortable win for the Reds. Both sides played 2-2 in their first meeting.
Liverpool will now face fellow English Premier League side West Ham in the next round.
