The League Management Company have moved week 34 matches of the Glo Premier League earlier scheduled to take place this weekend to next Wednesday due to the African Nations Championship qualifying match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The League Management Company announced the postponement on their official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
“Match day 34 of the #GloNPFL will now hold on Wednesday, 21st October 2015 and no longer Sunday, 18 October,” the league body announced.
Top clubs like Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars and Wikki Tourists who are in the hunt to win the title and continental tickets have some of their key players in the Super Eagles home-based side that will take on the Stallions.
Sunshine Stars have the largest number of players in the team with six of their regular stars in the squad.
The Eagles will take on the Stallions at the Adokiye Amiesieamaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday.
Nigeria won bronze at the last edition of the competition in South Africa last year.
