Super Eagles assistant coach, Jean Francois Loscuito  has hailed the home-based Super Eagles for their resilient performance against hosts Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou on Sunday which earned them a valuable goalless second leg result and qualification for  the African Nations Championship on 2-0 aggregate, reports completesportsnigeria.com.


The Eagles secured their passage to the competition following a hard fought 0-0 draw against Burkina Faso on Sunday at the August 4 Stadium, Ouagadougou.


''We are happy with the result of the game," the Belgian told completesportsnigeria.com after the game in Ouagadougou.

"The players showed real determination to ward off the threat of our opponent and I want to commend them for that."


Loscuito ‎led the Eagles' coaching crew for the crucial second leg encounter, in the absence of head coach, Sunday Oliseh who travelled to Belgium for medical attention after their first leg win against the Stallions of Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt last weekend.
