Super Eagles assistant coach Jean Francois Loscuito is still not fully recovered from illness but is excited by the performances of Super Eagles players in the fifth round of the English FA Cup last weekend.
The duo of Victor Moses and former Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, were on the scorers' sheet in West Ham United's 5-1 thumping of Blackburn Rovers, with Moses scoring one and Emenike grabbing a brace.
At Stamford Bridge, Mikel Obi was splendid for the Blues before he was substituted by Nemanja Matic while Kelechi Iheanacho provided the assist for Manchester City in Chelsea's emphatic 5-1 win.
Earlier on Saturday, Alex Iwobi was deployed in the playmaker's role for Arsenal in their scoreless draw against Hull City who paraded Sone Aluko who came off the bench in the second half.
Odion Ighalo was in action for Watford in their 1-0 win against Leeds United also on Saturday.
These performances warmed the heart of Loscuito who is undergoing treatment after he suffered a relapse following a surgery he underwent in South Africa before the Eagles' trip to Rwanda for the Africa Nations Championship.
"They were great performances and I'm happy for them. That is nice for the national team because the game against Egypt is drawing nearer.
"It will be nice if they replicate these club forms for the national team too," Loscuito told Completesportsnigeria.com.
On his health situation, however, Loscuito revealed that his recovery has not gone as expected.
"I am not very good still, but I remain positive that soon, I shall be strong again," he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Despite my health, you should know that I look at all our players in the FA Cup and other Championships around Europe and Africa.
"On a daily basis, I am in telephone contact with the head coach (Sunday Oliseh). There's a lot of hard work going on. Several reports on our players were sent to the coach."
Sunday night's FA Cup quarter-finals draw pitted Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike's West Ham United against Manchester United. Chelsea will be hosted by Everton while Arsenal or Hull City will face Odion Ighalo's Watford.
All quarter-finals matches of the FA Cup will hold on the weekend 11th-14th March, 2016.
