Stanley Amuzie’s agent Ayodele Makinwa has told completesportsnigeria.com that the contract of his player is not in jeopardy with his new club Sampdoria.
Nigeria U-23s left-back Amuzie suffered a long-term injury recently, putting his Sampdoria deal in doubt.
But Makinwa, a former Super Eagles striker, insists the deal is cast in stone.
“Amuzie has a contract with Sampdoria and there’s no problem with it being terminated,” Makinwa told completesportsniegeria.com.
Makinwa also revealed that an update regarding Amuzie’s injury will be given in the coming days after he undergoes a scan on his knee.
“As regards his injury, I will inform you on the results of his scan. We are considering the best method for him to recover fully which is uppermost on my mind now,” he added.
Amuzie was one of the standout performers for the U-23 Eagles who qualified for the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville and the CAF U-23 Nations Cup in Senegal.
