Manchester City will take on Liverpool in next month’s Capital One Cup final after they beat Everton 3-1 in the second leg semi-final played on Wednesday.
City won the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Everton shot into the lead through Ross Barkley on 18 minutes following a fine solo run from midfield.
Fernandinho drew City level in the 24th minute after his shot took a deflection and went over Joel Robles in goal for Everton.
Substitute Kevin De Bruyne made it 2-1 for City in the 70th minute as he connected with Raheem Sterling’s left-wing cross which looked to have gone over the line.
And with 13 minutes left, Sergio Aguero sealed the win for City with a header off a cross from De Bruyne.
