Liverpool continued their impressive start to the Premier League season following a 2-1 win against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Saturday.
On a day title rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur failed to win their respective fixtures, Jurgen Klopp's men put up a commanding performance in front of their fans.
Senegal forward Saido Mane scored the curtain raiser on 20 minutes, finishing a brilliant team move that was started by Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian doubled the hosts' lead 10 minutes before the break.
The Reds failed to add to their lead after the break despite creating a number of opportunities.
Gareth McAuley however ensured a nervy end to the game when he pulled a goal back for West Brom nine minutes from time.
The hosts however held on to secure the win.
The win took Liverpool to joint-top in the table with Arsenal, both on 20 points.
