–Flying Eagles coach go for Super Six trophy
Coach of the National U-20 team, Manu Garba has said that his team will not be carried away by their 100 percent record at the ongoing Super Six tournament.
Manu said that the Flying Eagles are not going to be complacent because they have beaten the likes of Enyimba and Kano Pillars, adding that any player that fails to live to expectation will pay dearly for it by losing his position in the team.
“We are not allowing the victories we have recorded so far to affect us, we will not be carried away by these wins because we know we are yet to reach the standard we want for the team”, says Garba.
“We are happy to be playing this tournament before the African Youth Championship (AYC) because it will toughen our players before the real tournament so we will make corrections where necessary before the championships in Senegal and the World Cup.
“Any player who allows his fellow player to take his position will pay dearly for it. It means that player is automatically out. Even the team captain cannot relax because he wears the captain band.
“I and my coaches have resolved to give all the players equal opportunity to excel, so you either shape in or shape out. We want to go the World Cup as African kings and we won’t condone any slack ” he stated.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
