Forgotten Super Eagle, Obafemi Martins will begin training for the new season with his Major League Soccer club,Seattle Sounders today after he missed the first day of trainig on Saturday.
Sounders head coach,Sigi Schmid said Marints would arrive in Seattle on Sunday and begin training on Monday.
“Everything is good with Oba,” Schmid told the media following Saturday’s session.
Schmid words should come as a significant relief for Sounders supporters as the Nigerian is coming off his most prolific season as a professional and will surely once again be a focal point of the Sounders’ offense.
Martins’ 17 goals and 13 assists in league play were both career highs for the 30-year-old.
