Nigeria striker, Obafemi Martins is delighted to be named Seattle Sounders Most Valuable Player of the season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The pacy hitman who won the honour for the second consecutive season also picked the Golden Boot Award after hitting the back of the net 15 times for the Major League Soccer side.
The former Inter Milan of Italy star also paid tribute to his teammates and coaches for making it possible for him to win the honour.
"Humbled again to be named team MVP. However, all credit due to my teammates and coaches. Already focusing on 2016," Martinswrote on his Twitter handle.
Martins aside scoring from vital goals for Sounders also notched up six assists in 21 appearances for the club despite spending two months out injured.
He has enjoyed a remarkable time since his move to the MLS.
Last season Martins won the MLS Most Valuab le Player runner-up award.
