Mayweather Gets Golden £17,000 Gum Shield, Diamonds and $100 Bills For Manny Pacquiao Fight

Floyd Mayweather may be taking the expression ‘put your money where your mouth is’ a tad too far after it was revealed the boxer has forked out £17,000 on… wait for it… a gum shield.
The 38-year-old American – known as ‘Money Mayweather’ – is fighting Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on May 2 and has splashed out on a rather expensive accessory for the occasion.
According to TMZ, Mayweather had the mouth protector custom-made, with gold flecks, diamond dust and even fragments of real currency all included in the plastic, while his name was stamped on it.
The undefeated boxer justifies the lavish item, claiming the guard protests his teeth and helps him breathe better during brawls.
