Mexico U-23s Pip U-23 Eagles In Friendly

Nigeria U-23s lost 1-0 to Mexico U-23 in a friendly match played in the early hours of Sunday.

The game which was played in Aguascalientes, in Mexico, was part of both teams' preparation ahead of the Rio Olympic Games coming up in August.

Earlier in their preparations, the U-23 Eagles defeated Brazil 1-0.

And at the Suwon four-nation Invitational Tournament in South Korea, the U-23 Eagles finished third behind Denmark, South Korea while Honduras finished fourth.

The Coach Samson Siasia led side are in Group B of the Rio 2016 men's football, along with Sweden, Colombia and Japan.

Mexico, who are the Olympics men's football champions are in Group C, along with Germany, Fiji and South Korea.

    That was one agonizing match to watch. I can only hope there more players joining that camp; then of course we can always blame the heavy down pour. Seriously, this crop of dream team does not ispire confidenece one bit, Hopefuly, Imo Ezekiel and the rest of the Europe based crew come to our rescue, this current Dream Team is a complete nightmare. They were like cows on a serious grazing mission.
