Good day Nigerians you're welcome on board for today's live blog of the much anticipated 2017 AFCON qualifier between the Taifa Stars of Tanzania and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Super Eagles have arrived the Tanzania National Stadium ahead of the clash.

13- The Tanzanians string good passes but Carl Ikeme produces a powerful punch of the ball. Relief eventually for the Eagles
14- Nigeria win back possession
15- Kenneth Omeruo helps out Kenneth Omeruo
16- Nigeria concede possession again
18- Ahmed Musa sends in a cross but Emenike robbed of the ball
20- Emmanuel Emenike’s cross after a driving run and pass by Lukman Haruna fails to be latched on.

21- Tanzania’s Ngasa fouled, freekick to the hosts. Ikeme is arranging his wall.
22- Ikeme pushes the ball away brilliantly. His debut is turning out to be a success so far.
23- Emenike fouled. Freekick to Nigeria.
25- A well crafted freekick taken by Ahmed Musa, with a low shot, leads to an Eagles corner
28- Another penalty shout by the Tanzanians. The Taifa Stars are the more purposeful so far. They stole the ball from midfield and launched a swift counter attack
33- A goal kick for Nigeria. The Super Eagles are giving the hosts too much room to attack them
36- Ahmed Musa delivers a wayward pass. Lukman Haruna substituted by Sylvester Emeka Igboun.
38- Ahmed Musa’s cross miscued by Simon Moses. Goal kick to Tanzania
40- Obiora Nwankwo commits a foul. Moses is fouled and a freekick to Nigeria
42- Solomon Kwambe kicks out the ball for a throw-in to Tanzania.
43- Nigeria’s throw, the ref ignored a freekick call after Emenike is brought down.
45- Emmanuel Emenike fires a snap shot but it is off target.
45+1- HT. Tanzania 0-0 Nigeria. The Super Eagles form a huddle and now march out of the pitch
45- Tanzania kick off the 2nd half.
47- Igboun wins Nigeria a freekick. Emenike’s shot fizzles out. Tanzania goal kick.
48- Tanzania keeper, Mustapha, gayhers a Nigerian freekick on second attempt.
51- Nigeria win a corner kick. Ahmed Musa with the effort, punched out by Mustapha. Tanzania lose possession now. Musa goes on a mazy run but his cross was low and poor
53- Kenneth Omeruo heads away a Tanzanian cross. A Tanzanian and a Nigerian player are down injured, attended by medics
56- Kenneth Omeruo and Carl Ikeme get on each other’s way but Ikeme punches ball unconvincingly.
57- Freekick to Nigeria
58- Ahmed Musa’s left footed shot from the left wing misses target. Encouraging link up with Emenike.
60- Tanzania presented a chance to score but the Nigerian defence blocks the goal-bound shot
Said Jumar on for Tanzania. Anthony Ujah in, Emmanuel Emenike out for Nigeria.
65- Simon Moses’ shot is off target.
66- Ngasa’s header is off target, Tanzania now losing three great chances
68- Thomas Ulimengu’s shot is smothered and saved by Carl Ikeme.
70- Emem Edouk in, Simon Moses out- Bigeria substitution
72- Tanzania flagged offside.
73- Carl Ikeme saves a good shot but the Eagles have a freekick now. William Troost Ekong fouled there.
77- Nigeria win a throw-in and build up patiently.
80- Injury scare for Nigeria. Both Kenneth Omeruo and Anthony Ujah with head injuries. Receive treatments
83- Tanzania presented with yet another chance and their aerial threat only wins them a corner but it is wasted
85- A great pull out by Musa for Emenike but the chance ball taken from the feet of Emem Edouk.
The stadium is getting full now.
87- The member of parliament, Jamuari Makamba of the CCM threw the gates open for the fans which has caused stir at the stadium! The fans are chanting they want change.
Fans here are chanting ‘Bimpo’‎ which means Change!
90- Nigeria throw-in. Three minutes added after regulation time.
90+2- Carl Ikeme confidently claims the ball but the medics attend to an injured Taifa Stars player.

  4. I am not sure if I will be watching this important match being that it is Oliseh’s first match with plenty of new faces. Will Keshi be watching it too? If it is the KESHI I know he will be wishing Oliseh and the Super Eagles well. Who will not like to watch his country in a competition like AFCON. It makes it more interesting.
