Nigerian attacking midfielder Michael Babatunde has impressed Morocco assistant coach, Patrice Baumel, with his impressive performances in the colours of Raja Casablanca, even though the 22 year old is ineligible for the Atlas Lions of Morocco,Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Nigeria international ran the show Raja's 4-0 win over MCO Oujda on Sunday in front of Baumel, scoring his side's second goal and providing and assists for Youssef Kaddioui and Mohammed-Awal Issah during the encounter.
“Babatunde has been fantastic for Raja," Baumel told infomedia.ma.
“He can do things, special things, but he is Nigerian not Morroccan. He has done that and I am very, very pleased."
"But we want only players who can play for Morroco and to keep him on because he has been playing so well for us.
Babatunde has scored twice in three games since joining the club in January.
