Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses pulled up injured in Stoke City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United in the Barclays English Premier League on Saturday.
The Nigerian forward signalled to the club’s physio in the 41st minute after firing a shot wide and pulling up badly.
Moses who did not play Nigeria’s two friendlies against Uganda and South Africa due to a hip injury he only recently returned from, was substituted before half time with Senegalese striker, Mame Biram Diouf taking his place.
This week, Moses spoke about the frustrations he had to deal with as a result of injury concerns.
“I won’t say it hasn’t been frustrating at times, with the injuries I have picked up, because it has, but thankfully I am feeling really good and strong at the moment,” he told Stoke City’s official website.
The winger, who is on a season-long loan from Chelsea, has scored three times in 19 league appearances for the Potters.
In Scotland, former Enugu Rangers striker, Edward Ofere scored for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the 1-1 draw against champions, Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership.
Leigh Griffiths scored in the third minute to give Celtic the lead in the contest decided at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.
Ofere however equalized barely two minutes after Griffiths’ strike, converting from close range after Jason Denayer had blocked Ryan Christie’s shot on the line.
However the Nigerian striker received a yellow card in the 28th minute for a foul on the Celtic captain, Scott Brown.
Saturday’s goal was Ofere’s second league goal of the season as he had scored in the 1-2 loss to Motherwell at Fir Park on February 28.
The 29-year-old had also previously played for clubs such as Malmö FF, Lecce 18, Trelleborgs FF, FC Vestsjælland and Sogndal.
Ofere has been capped three times by Nigeria at senior level.
