Chelsea FC have told the Nigeria Football Federation that Victor Moses is injured and may not feature in the forthcoming international friendlies against the Teranga Lions of Senegal and Burkina Faso, Completesportsnigeria.com has gathered.
The 26-year-old limped out of Monday night's FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United with a minor calf problem, but passed a late fitness test to start in Saturday's 2-1 win away at Stoke City.
The Nigerian winger played for 70 minutes against Stoke City before subbed off for Cesc Fabregas.
Completesportsnigeria.com also gathered that despite Chelsea's intervention, the former Liverpool and West Ham winger is yet to officially withdraw from Nigeria's squad for the upcoming friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso.
"Chelsea have communicated the NFF on Victor Moses’ injury and we expect that he will pull out of the games at The Hive Stadium in North London," revealed one of the Super Eagles backroom staff.
Moses has scored three goals in 27 English Premier League appearances for the Blues this term.
