Stoke City fitness coach Mike Pejic has hinted that the club May need a fitness assurances before they could sign Super Eagles forward Victor Moses on permanent basis, reports Completesportsnigeria.com
The injured star could be out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
“What a shame we might have seen the last of Victor Moses out on the left wing.
“I think he’s been a successful loan signing whose impact has been much like Peter Odemwingie’s in the second half of last season.
“Imagine if we’d seen those two fit and firing on the wings this season.
“It’s no great surprise, given the explosive nature of his game, but if I was manager I would want reassurances from my medical people before plunging into signing him permanently from Chelsea this summer, ” states Pejic, according to stokesentinel.co.uk who covers the club’s football activities.
The latest injury must also be a bitter disappointment to Moses himself.
The 2013 African Cup of Nations winner surely would not have expected his season at Stoke to end the way it appears to be ending, while any other interested clubs will also have taken note.
“Good luck to him if he doesn’t come back to Stoke because he’s served our club well, the physio concluded.”
Meanwhile, Moses’ compatriot and fellow Eagles star Osaze Odemwingie is set to return to training soon from his own injury woes and could be ready for action in May.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
