Chelsea star Victor Moses is prepared to play any role for the Super Eagles when they take on Algeria in Saturday’s 2018 World Cup in Uyo, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The 25-year-old has been impressive for Chelsea this season playing as a wing-back in Antonio Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation which has seen the Blues chalk up five straight wins without conceding a goal in the English Premier League.
And Moses who has scored twice playing in that role for Chelsea this season told journalists in Uyo during a media conference on Thursday that he is more comfortable playing as a forward.
He however assures handlers of the team he will give his best to ensure they maintain their lead in the African qualifying Group B table with another win if they opt to play him in another position.
“I can’t say I’m not happy playing as a wing-back, I’m the type who gives his all to his team regardless of where I’m playing from,” Moses said when asked which position best suits him on the pitch.
“I’m a forward minded player but I don’t mind playing anywhere to help my team.”
“Club side and national team are not the same, I can’t say where the manager will play me but I’m ready to give my best in any role.”
With Moses back in the squad, the Super Eagles will be aiming for a ninth victory over Algeria when both countries battle at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday.
